HYBRIDa arquitectes
At HYBRIDa we understand architecture as a discipline that must be receptive to the permanent changing environment. Our office proposes a comprehensive design strategy with strong sustainable aproach that intersects computational tools, biomimetic engineering and digital manufacturing, in order to design and create efficient spaces and architectural systems that adapt to their environment. We interact with architecture in the field of building, teaching and research. During years, we have received scholarships and grants from institutions such as AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council of England), CIDEM (Centro Innovación y Desarrollo Empresarial de España), CAPACITIES (Seventh European Research Programme).
At HYBRIDa in recent years, we have developed projects of various scales, from private housing, research projects funded by the EU to public facilities.
HYBRIDa won together with aZCON (Antonio Sanmartin) the competition for the 23,000 m2 Tembo Suites and Apartments Hotel (by Stahler Real Estate Group) allready built. In 2023, together with C63 Studio (Miquel Espinet, Xavier Osarte, Ester Segura) HYBRIDa wins two competitions for Infrastructures of Catalonia, making the dream of constructing public facilities for Catalonia come true.
Jordi Truco is a graduated architect by Escola Tecnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona ETSAB. At 2003 received Distinction in Master of Architecture at The Architectural Association of London. AA. He is also the recipient of the first price of the Royal Academy of the Arts of London in Architecture, student’s category, 2003.
Sylvia Felipe is a graduated architect by Escola Tecnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona ETSAB. At 2003 received Distinction in Master of Architecture at The Architectural Association of London. AA.Before founding HYBRIDa architecture studio at 2003, she had a work experience at Martinez Lapeña & Torres Arquitectes, among some other Architecture firms.
